Art by Szan
Today we welcome our first Ink Panda interview. If you've kept up with Ink Panda when it was better known as Art Block, you've seen some of her work featured on the front page! Suzanne Sumner from Art by Szan is a painter that often brings the thought of life into her work. She often explores other art forms such as: singing, writing and even dancing.
I asked Suzanne if she looked up to any artists and she replied with, "Michelangelo. I am drawn like a magnet to greatness such as this. stunning brilliance." She then continues, "His work shines ever so brightly to me. Excellent talent sent from Heaven, I am in awe of it all."
For those of you that don't know, Michelangelo is known as the most famous Italian Renaissance artist. He's responsible for the sculpture, "David" [pictured to the right].
To have such an amazing artist to look up to even after many years of his passing, it is no wonder Suzanne has created works in this outstanding methods such as "Despair" [pictured to the left].

Sometimes I wonder if other artists- like myself- are into listening to music along with doing their artwork. Turns out, Suzanne cannot live without it! I found this interesting because we have almost the same taste in music; Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, even. When Suzanne creates a work of art, she creates a masterpiece. She hasn't created any recent pieces, however, she plans to get back into the paint game and create more work to settle her mind and keep it at ease.
Ink Panda will be keeping in touch with Suzanne and informing you folks on her progress in creating more works of art. Until then, take a look at some of her work in the video below!
