Ink's Facelift

Hey, folks!

Nexia Monae here letting you guys know Ink Panda is back up and running indefinitely! Or until I grow old and the wind blows me away as I’ve turned to ash. Yeah. That long. I know.

Ink Panda, as you can see, has had a major facelift and honestly, I like it much better; it’s organized and overall is more for less. Before I published the site again with the update, some people explained I should add more c

olor.

Here’s the thing, when we add more of other people’s artwork to the site through blogs and for piece of the week that artwork will be adding more color to the site and that’s the beauty of art. We don’t have to clutter the sites if we know the content is going to be beautiful!

So without further ado, here are the changes we’ve made and things you can expect. Welcome back to Ink Panda

Piece of the Week

Previously known as Artist of the Week, Piece of the week will now showcase music, artists, and writers. Sometimes, artists that we reached out to don’t have time to get back to us in time to be featured for the week and sometimes they won’t be able to answer our questionnaire. To fix that problem, I’ve decided to broaden our showcase and mix it up so that we can keep people intrigued and knowledgeable about various things in the creative community.

Anything that ends up in Piece of the Week on and after July 16, 2017 will have an article posted about it. This way, the viewers learn about that piece of creativity and not just look at it. It also helps keep content up and ready to go to keep you guys in the loop.

Feature Perks

Feature perks are slightly different than Ink Panda choosing for Piece of the Week. With feature perks the submission gets shoutouts on Ink Panda’s Instagram and Facebook (the Facebook is down for now, but if I decide to bring it back that will be included). The Featured person will also have an interview for the Ink Blog about the featured piece.

Submissions

Previously, I made it quite difficult for people to submit anything to Ink Panda and I didn’t even keep up with all of it which made it slow down and eventually I was getting nothing to post. That’s terrible.

Now, to submit things to be featured or to be looked at or even just to say, “hi!” all you have to do is head to “Need a writer” and click “Email” on the panda. That’s it!

Blog Posts, Volunteers, & Guest Posts

Blog posts are not that much different, however, all of the older blogs might be gone- that depends how attached I am to them by the time this video comes out. Regardless, the content will be much better and I’m always looking for volunteer and guest bloggers/vloggers to help contribute to the posting! So if you’re looking to build that portfolio and you’re a decent writer send an email and ask for details.

Volunteer bloggers/vloggers are always going to be given recognition along with any backlinks related to any blogging. I’ll get into details about the video blogging if asked, but we’ll see how that goes.
