Joshua Jones

We have a writer out and about these days, but he isn't just a writer, he's a 3D and 2D graphic artist attending Full Sail University. His name is Joshua Jones and today, he is our focus!

Having his mother as one of his biggest inspirations, Jones states, "Her wisdom and belief in me has helped me push forward even though sometimes I don't want to."

With that being said, here is a piece from Jones' Gamer's Word blog, Silence Speaks.

Somewhere along the line- as both a writer and a reader- I agree with his words. It's amazing to see how writers and artists such as Jones have progressed and taken a note of what they see and shared it to the world. "Writing fills in the gaps that others have not," he says and continues. "It is the journey that takes me to places I can never explore in reality."

I asked Jones what he would say to a group of writers that would be considered ashamed to be a poet or any form of writer.

"Don't be ashamed," he replied, "writing is a process. You won't grow as a writer unless you share your ideas with other people. When you begin writing it's good to remember that you are not writing your final draft, but your first draft so sharing and getting other's opinions is only going to help your writing get better. There are so many things out there in the world that need attention from a writing standpoint and if you can’t share your ideas those problems go untouched. If you are afraid of judgement then find a friend who will be willing to edit or read your work all it takes is for you to go out there and share to the world your ideas that may in future fix those problems that are going untouched and inspire others to do the same."

If you like the way Joshua Jones writes and puts his own words out for the world to be inspired, you can check out his blog. You can also check out his tumblr and his website to learn more about him!

And remember, folks, art on!
