Inktober is Here!

Beautiful people of the art world, the month we've all been waiting for begins today and I am going insane already! For a tribute of Inktober, Ink Panda has decided to start creating designs for t-shirts on commission, but before we get into that, let us bring the rest of the world in on what this Inktober is!

For those that are unaware of the tradition of many artists around the world, Inktober takes the month of October and makes it interesting. What you do- whether art is your thing or just for fun- is you take the traditonal style of drawing with ink and create a drawing for everyday of the month.

"I want to participate in Inktober, but I don't have time to draw everyday. Can I still draw?"

Of course! There are various ways people participate without hitting every single day. Some do the half-way mark by drawing every other day while others draw once a week. As long as you stay dedicated to your choice, you're good to go.

"What's the point of Inktober?"

The point of it is to refine or get better practice with your inking and line work. Some artists present it as a way to see if they can stick to drawing for a month with no excuses. It's all about what you prefer to think of it as, really.

"Is there a specific topic to draw?"

Nope! That's the best part, even though various sites do have their daily challenges telling you to draw something specific Inktober itself does not have a specific style or preference on what to draw. You can choose to stick to Halloween themed artwork or simply draw a beaver eating a cat! Whatever floats your goat [haha].

"What can we use? Isn't digital art ink, too?"

I suppose digital is considered ink, but Inktober is specifically meaning pens, pens over pencil, markers, ink brushes. Things like that. It keeps the tradition alive and it's a little more fun that way for most!

And now for the designs!

This is my first time participating in Inktober, and so, I decided this would be a great time to ink out my designs each day for t-shirts. The t-shirts would be $20 (plus shipping & handling). So for the next 31 days there will be 31 designs and you can pick which design you'd like on a t-shirt! If you buy three shirts in one order you get a free 13X19 poster!

So if you're interested in buying the shirt(s) design be on the look out in the website and Facebook page for new ones everyday!

Art on!
