Mother Nature by Nexia Monae

Below is a poem titled Mother Nature written by me on this night as my thoughts blasted into a mode of seriousness. Hope you all enjoy.
From the rivers of blood. To the banks of tears. From the hills that create each pore and the stalks creating hair. The rock we call our bones and the glass we call eyes. Speeding into the centuries we destroy this nature. We destroy our bodies,
our original mother. From cuts to bruises. Self inflicted or without intent. We destroy the beauty. With words of disgust
we swallow our own tongues. Saliva of greed
We lust after all things we don't need. Blaming society,
blaming governments. They did not force upon us what we claim to have no control. From death to rise in another life. From the tears that once rained crystal clear. To the bloody rivers of life that we are drained. We ruin our nature. We destroy our mother. We kiss our worshipped statues. We deny the truth behind the statues. We devour our loves and hang on to our enemy. From the rivers of blood. To the banks of tears. We destroy this nature. We destroy our mother.
