Cube Escape Series

Have you ever played a game where you feel like you shouldn't play it because you'll lose track of time knowing you really have to get the chores done before everyone gets home? Or even getting so immersed into the game you forget that you're actually supposed to be back at work... three hours ago?
Well I have a series of games for you. I'm a huge fan of escape genres and have been following this series called, Cube Escape created by Rusty Lake since mid 2015.
Throughout the series, you will see something great that not many indie games do- stick to a storyline and have you figure it out piece by piece. So, here is my take on the Cube Escape Series.
From my point of view, we play as a sick man. Someone who has been traumatized by events and now relives his memories over and over again through a series of complex puzzles. There are hundreds of escape games and hundreds of thriller games and very few thriller escape games. Cube Escape takes the cake with it's various years for you to play, various puzzles and you even in some cases you can't do one thing without doing another- keeping your brain running as you get furious [on occasion] trying to figure out what you have to do.
Even if you get stuck on something, Rusty Lake has provided a walkthrough for its players- which can seriously come in handy- but of course, other players have made their own walkthroughs if you feel you can't quite get the gist of it.

Going back to the storyline, if you've never played the game, I suggest you prepare yourself for a couple of jump scares and blood- not always at the same time. A woman is murdered in pretty much every Cube Escape- if not every single one of them. From the looks of it, the man we play as is a Schizophrenic person who has murdered her and his memories continue to haunt him. There are a series of half man half animalistic characters throughout and each of them peaked my personal interest.
My favorite(s) of all of them has to be Theatre and Birthday. I hear Rusty Lake is working on something else and I'm waiting impatiently and replaying their games over and over. If you have played these Cube Escape games, you should definitely check out their other games! The more the merrier, right?
Difficulty Rating: 4.8/5 (clicking randomly does NOT help you in all of these games)
You can play the Cube Escape Series on your mobile or desktop. So get up and join the story! You'll love it!
